Who We Are

Information We Collect
We collect contact form submissions, service enquiry details, and quote list requests (name, email, phone, and the items quoted). Booking requests collect name, email, phone, the service selected, and the requested date and time, stored in our appointments register. Hosting clients provide hosting account information such as domain, DNS, and billing contact details. We also collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited through server logs.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to respond to enquiries, provide web development and hosting services, send essential service communications, and improve the website. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. Information may be shared with the service providers needed to operate the business: website and hosting infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia, a content delivery network for media files, a payment processor for invoicing and card payments, and an email delivery provider for service notifications. Some personal information is therefore held or processed outside New Zealand, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. We may also disclose information where required by New Zealand law.
Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you can request access to or correction of personal information we hold. We will respond to such requests within 20 working days as required by the Act. Privacy complaints can be made to Wheeler Technology or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for its purpose or as required by law. Server logs are kept for 90 days. Enquiry and booking records are kept for 24 months unless they lead to an engagement. Invoices and payment records are kept for 7 years as required by the Tax Administration Act 1994. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, and where a privacy breach meets the notifiable threshold under the Privacy Act 2020, we will notify the Privacy Commissioner and affected people.
